Saturday, June 23, 2023

1-2:30 PM

Heather Beal, Dunham Technique

This class will explore the dance technique created by the legendary Katherine Dunham, dancer-choreographer, anthropologist, author, and the founder of the first African- American modern dance company. The class combines elements and concepts from African, Brazilian, Cuban, Haitian (Caribbean), jazz, and American modern dance.

2:30- 4 PM (Adults Only)

Nana Chinara, Erotic Flow

Erotic Flow is a movement-based workshop that invites you to tap into your erotic power. Drawing on Audre Lorde's "The Uses of the Erotic", you will be led through indulgent invitations to explore the feelings of pleasure, joy, love, bliss, and more within your body. We will co-conjure free expression of our sweetest desires. Less of a class, and more like a guided dance party. We will create a love language with our bodies, opening our hearts and unapologetically pouring into ourselves.
